What are the academic considerations in internationalizing the curriculum? What are the global competencies/learning outcomes to be achieved via the curriculum and how might we assist students in achieving these outcomes? What is the faculty consensus on this? How would we determine the extent to which our curriculum is currently internationalized? What needs to be done to align the curriculum with the global competencies/learning outcomes? How would we measure success in this area? What needs/resources do we have to enhance curricular development at SUNY Cortland in this area? A priority item for this committee is the development of an instrument to measure global competencies/learning outcomes to be piloted spring, 2008 semester. Further, the committee is charged with creating an assessment tool to assess current and projected levels of internationalization of our curricula. How would this assessment align with institutional assessment goals?
